Disover The Real London
Gunnersbury Park
The 190-acre Gunnersbury Park provides a vital lung to the crowded environs of Ealing, Acton and Brentford in west London. The park was opened in 1926 when the local councils bought the land from the Rothschild family, who had lived here from 1835.
The architectural highlights of the park include two striking white Regency style mansions, of which Gunnersbury Park Mansion is now a local museum; The Orangery, built by Sidney Smirke; and the Doric Temple folly overlooking the boating pond (pictured).
