London Eye
The London Eye was designed by husband and wife architects team Marks Barfield and was opened for its first flight in March 2000. It is undoubtedly the most successful of the Millennium projects - 3.5 million visitors a year making it the UK's most popular paid for tourist attraction.
The London Eye reaches a height of 135 metres, making it the capital's fourth tallest structure. Every London landmark can be seen, and on a clear day you can see as far as Windsor Castle. The Eye takes 30 minutes for one full rotation.
