Browning's Pool
Browning's Pool is the small triangular harbour of water otherwise known as Little Venice, where Regent's Canal and Grand Union Canal converge, and the nexus of London's canal network.
It was named after the poet Robert Browning who came to live at 19 Warwick Avenue (now demolished), Maida Vale, overlooking Little Venice in 1862 after the death of his wife Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The small island in the middle is known as Browning's Island.
