| St Pancras Station |
| St Pancras Station was built by engineer William Barlow in 1868 to act as the London terminus for railway services to and from the Midlands. The accompanying Midland Great Hotel, the epitome of Victorian Gothic architecture, was built by George Gilbert Scott eight years later. |
After a £800 million restoration (including 14,000 new glass panels for the Barlow Shed which spans the whole station), St Pancras Station is now London's gateway to Europe - 20 trains depart each day to Paris and 12 to Brussels. |
