| Green Park |
| Green Park was first recorded in the reign of Henry VIII in 1554. It was enclosed as a hunting ground by Charles II in 1668 and finally opened to the general public in 1826. |
Green Park, at 47 acres, is the smallest of the Royal Parks. It is also the quietest, wherein lies its charm. There are no lakes, ornamental buildings or stunning vistas, just gently undulating grassland, meandering paths and handsome plane and lime trees - perfect for picnics and lazy days in deckchairs. |
