| Kenwood House is a beautiful, elegant former stately home that lies at the northern tip of Hampstead Heath. It was bequeathed to the nation in 1925 by Guinness brewing magnate the Earl of Iveagh. Formerly a brick building it was remodelled by Robert Adam in the classical style in 1779. |
| It houses an outstanding collection of paintings by artists including Rembrandt, Turner, Gainsborough and Vermeer. A series of Saturday summer concerts are held by the lake below the house. |
