Holland Park peacocks
The peacocks in Holland Park are an exotic addition to one of the most beautiful and colourful parks in London. They can normally be found on the Peacock Lawn (just south of the Kyoto Garden) or in the Formal Gardens below Holland House. Invariably you hear them before your see them.
Holland House is an old Jacobean manor house that was built in 1606 for the then Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir Walter Cope. It was badly damaged in the Blitz during World War II and the surviving remains are now used as a youth hostel.
