Disover The Real London
Kensington Gardens
Kensington Gardens is the most majestic of all the Royal Parks. Originally a part of Hyde Park, it was transformed by Charles Bridgeman in 1728 on the behest of Queen Caroline (who lived in Kensington Palace) in to the park we know and love today.
Kensington Gardens is more formal than most London parks with several glorious avenues of trees set in front of the centrepiece Round Pond and Kensington Palace. It is also home to several well-known landmarks - Albert Memorial, Serpentine Gallery, Peter Pan and Elfin Oak.
Queensway, Lancaster Gate, South Kensington and High Street Kensington.

Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens were originally separated by a ha-ha - its first recorded use in gardening history.
