Tooting Bec Lido
Tooting Bec Lido was built on the Streatham side of Tooting Bec Common in 1906. At 91.5 metres long (100 yards in old money) it is the largest fresh water swimming pool in England.
The lido, complete with its beautifully clear turquoise water and brightly-coloured changing booths, has remained a very popular destination for swimmers. There is also a paddling pool for the nippers and a relaxation area for sunbathers.
