Michelin Building
The Michelin Building was built in 1911 as the London HQ of the Michelin tyre company by employee François Espinasse. Unique architecturally - a mix of Art Nouveau and proto-Art Deco - it is covered by white faience tiles, topped off with tyre decorations, and dominated by magnificent stain glass windows depicting Michelin adverts of the age.
The Michelin Building has been the fine dining destination Bibendum ever since Terence Conran bought it in 1984. There are three different eateries - Restaurant, Oyster Bar and Café, as well as a Crustacea Stall.
