Elfin Oak
Elfin Oak is an 800-year-old hollowed tree stump that is decorated with wooden and plaster gnomes, elves, pixies, imps and fairies. Created by book illustrator Ivor Innes, it celebrates the fairytale and never-never world of the "little people".
Originally in Richmond Park, the Elfin Oak was transferred to Kensington Gardens in 1928 to complement the nearby statue of Peter Pan. It is situated by Black Lion Gate just next to the Diana Memorial Playground.
