St Mary Le Bow
St Mary-le-Bow church on Cheapside was rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London in 1666. On top of its steeple, stands this rather fetching dragon weathervane, the dragon of course being the emblem for the City of London.
St Mary-le-Bow houses the famous Bow Bells. Anyone who is born within the sound of the bells can count themselves a true Cockney.
